There’s some unusual beats, that meld and morph fitting Oktober’s off-kilter flows. If you’re even questioning purchasing this album, just buy H8 in your Blood as Oktober mimics several popular deceased MCs, from Biggie, Big L to Pun, to Pac to even Easy-E and ODB while poking fun of his own act by professing “and I’m gonna put your voice on this song”. Its this sort polar opposites that keeps him from being the norm. There’s a polite imbalance to the album, makes you wonder where October is going to take you next while remaining surprisingly consistent. There’s a rough track or two but the majority of the CD won’t have you wanting to press skip, something to be said in the day of singles over albums. by Slickninja
